Today I heard the John Denver Song, You Fill Up My Senses . . .
. . . and it reminded me of the beautiful solitude of life in the San Diego Backcountry. And of course, this made me remember the beauty of the Olde Julian Farmhouse at Apple Lane Orchards. The gardens, the orchard, the town of Julian. Cuyamaca Lake, Volcan Mountain, and the Anza Borrego desert are right in your backyard. Now that Julian Restaurants are opening back up, I’m reminded there is so much to do in the house, but so much more to do in the Country. A weekend, or midweek vacation might be just the thing to lift the spirits of you and your family.
You fill up my senses like a night in a forest,
Like the mountains in springtime,
Like a walk in the rain, like a storm in the desert,
Like a sleepy blue ocean.
You fill up my senses, come fill me again.
Come let me love you, let me give my life to you,
Let me drown in your laughter, let me die in your arms.
Let me lay down beside you. Let me always be with you.
Come let me love you., come fill me again.
